x=1

putting x=1 in x²-2x+k
x²-2x+k=0
(1)²-2(1)+k=0
1-2+k=0

put the value of x in this equation
x-1=0
x = 1
x {}^{ 2}  - 2x + k = 0 \\ 1 {}^{2}  - 2 \times 1 + k = 0 \\ 1 - 2 + k = 0 \\ k = 1
value of k is 1
