since \: they \: are \: i n \: gp \\  \\  \frac{k + 2}{k}  =  \frac{k + 6}{k + 2} \\  \\  {(k + 2)}^{2}   = k(k + 6) \\  \\  {k}^{2}  + 4 + 4k =  {k}^{2}  + 6k \\  \\ 4 = 6k - 4k \\  \\ 2k = 4 \\  \\ k = 2
