Let us prime factorise both the numbers seperately to make this easier.

510 = 2 x 3 x 5 x 17

92 = 2 x 2 x 23

(the numbers bolded are the only ones common, which would mean that 2 is our highest common factor)

LCM (510,92) = 2 x 2 x 3 x 5 x 17 x 23

                      = 23460

HCF (510,92) = 2

now,

LCM x HCF = product of numbers

23460 x 2 = 510 x 92

46,920 = 46,920

LHS = RHS

hence proved
