Step-by-step explanation:

\large\bf\orange{HCF}

The greatest number which divides each of the two or more numbers is called HCF or Highest Common Factor. It is also called the Greatest Common Measure(GCM) and Greatest Common Divisor(GCD).

\large\bf\red{LCM}

In Maths, one of the important terms used is the least common multiple(LCM). LCM is used in the case when the denominators of the fractions are different.

To find LCM first of all we need to find HCF.

By Prime factorisation method, prime factors of 96 and 404 are:

96=2×2×2×2×2×3

404=2×2×101

HCF = Product of common primes factors in given numbers.

∴ HCF of 96 & 404 = 2×2=4

To find LCM we should know that,

First number×Second number=HCF×LCM

96×404=4×LCM

LCM=96×404/4

LCM=9696
