Find the LCM of 2, 3 and 5.

multiple of 2 are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 ,14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30,…..

multiple of 3 are 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30,....

multiple of 5 are 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30,.....

LCM= 30.

And HCF of 18, 24, 42.

prime factor of 18= 2*3*3

prime factor of 24= 2*2*2*3

prime factor of 42= 2*3*7

common prime factor= 2*3

HCF= 2*3=6.

And to verify is that product of two numbers is equal to the product of the HCF and LCM. For any two numbers let A and B, HCF*LCM = A*B.
