here the base and height of isosceles right triangle are equal. Base and height are two side of the triangle.
hence area of triangle is 1/2 s^2=200
s^2 = 400
sq root on both sides
s = 20
now by pythagoreas theorem
s^2+s^2=hypotenuse ^2
20^2+20^2=h^2
400+400=h^2
800=h^2
h=√800
h=20√2
h=20×1.414
h=28.28
Therefore the length of hypotenuse is 28.28 cm
