Explanation:

The ratio of mass of oil to the mass ofwater present in the same volume ismass specific gravity of oil. The densityof water is 1000 kg/m^3. It means in 1 cubic meter of volume the mass of waterpresent is 1000 kg. As mass does not change with space ,it is same everywhere so density of a material doesnot change.
