Hey Dear,

◆ Answer -

Mean = 48.8

Median = 48.67

Mode = 48.89

● Explaination -

(i) Mean -

Mean of the data distribution is -

Mean = ∑fi.xi / ∑fi

Mean = (25×3 + 35×8 + 45×16 + 55×15 + 65×6 + 75×2) / (3 + 8 + 16 + 15 + 6 + 2)

Mean = 48.8

(ii) Median -

Here, class of 55 is median class with C.I. of 10.

Median for that data is calculated by

Median = l + h/f (N/2-c)

Median = 50 + 10/15 [50/2-(3+8+16)]

Median = 48.67

(iii) Mode -

Here, class of 45 has highest frequency, thus that's our modal class.

Mode of the grouped data distribution is calculated by -

Mode = l + ∆1.h/(∆1+∆2)

Mode = 40 + (16-8).10/ (16-8+16-15)

Mode = 48.89

Hope this helps you.
