Birthdays are

11, 12, 18, 15, 02, 17 , 14 ,0 3 , 28, 30, 29, 10

First we have to calculate

•mean :-

 \frac{11 + 12 + 18 + 15 + 02 + 17 + 14 + 03 + 28 + 30 + 29 + 10}{12}

.

  = \frac{189}{12}

Mean, Median and Mode of the taken ages are 12.66, 12 and 12 respectively

Given problem :

Find mean,median and mode of birthdays of at least 12 friends of your class

Solution:

Let the ages are 12, 11, 13, 12, 14, 12, 13, 11, 10, 12, 15, 11

Calculating mean of ages:

As we know

Mean of a data = Sum of observations / No. of observations

Sum of ages = 12 + 11 + 13 + 12 + 14 + 12 + 13 + 11 + 10 + 12 + 15 + 11 = 146

No. of ages = 12

Mean = 146/12 = 12.66

Mean of ages = 12.66

Calculating median of ages:

To find the median of the data

Arrange the given observations in ascending order

=  10, 11, 11, 11, 12, 12, 12, 12, 13, 13, 14, 15

Here, No. of ages n = 12 (even number)

The formula for median of data when No of observations is even number

Median of data =  [(n/2)th term + ((n/2) + 1)th term]/2

Median of data =  [(12/2)th term + ((12/2) + 1)th term]/2

= [6th term + 7th term]/2

= (12+12)/2 = 24/2 = 12

Median of Ages = 12

Calculating Mode of ages:

Mode of a data = Most frequently occurred observation

In take ages the frequently occured observation is 12

Mode of ages = 12

Therefore,

Mean, Median and Mode of the taken ages are 12.66, 12 and 12 respectively
