Answer : The 'n' factor of potash alum is, 8

Explanation :

When the potash alum undergoes dissociation in solution then it dissociated into their ions.

K_2SO_4.Al_2(SO_4)_3.24H_2O\rightarrow 2K^++SO_4^{2-}+2Al^{3+}+3SO_4^{2-}+24H_2O

The n-factor of potash alum = Total number of negative and positive ions

The n-factor of potash alum = 2K^++4SO_4^{2-}+2Al^{3+}=2+4+2=8

Therefore, the 'n' factor of potash alum is, 8
