you must start from left.
2ohm and 2ohm are in series then 4ohm
then this will be parallel to 4ohm then 4/2=2ohm
this 2ohm is in series with another 2ohm then 2+2=4ohm
again this resistance is parallel to 4ohm then 4/2=2........
hence the answer is 2ohm
