Answer:

5000 tiles

Step-by-step explanation:

area of room = l * b

                     = 300 * 250

                     = 75000 m²

area of one tile = l * b

                         = 5 * 3

                         = 15 m²

no. of tiles = area of room/area of one tile

                 = 75000 / 15

                 = 5000 tiles ________________ Ans.

hope it helps!!

Before, finding the answer. Let's find out how we can find the answer.

  • In this question, we have to find the number of tiles to cover the room.
  • So, to find that, we have to first find the area of the room. So, to find the Area of Room, we must use the formula :

\sf \rightarrow Area \: of \: Rectangle = l \times b

  • Next, we must find the area of each tile by using the same formula.
  • At last, we must divide the Area of the Room with the Area of the tile.

Given :

  • Length and Breadth of Room = 300 m and 250 m
  • Length and Breadth of Tile = 5 m and 3 m

To find :

  • number of tiles required to cover a room

Solution :

↪ Area of Room = l × b

                            = 300 × 250

                            = 75000

Therefore, the Area of the room is 75000 m².

↪ Area of Tile = l × b

                        = 5 × 3

                        = 15

Therefore, the Area of tile is 15 m².

\sf  \hookrightarrow No \: of \: tiles \: required= \dfrac{Area \: of \: Room}{Area \: of \: Tile }

                                  \sf= \dfrac{75000}{15}

                                  \sf =  5000

Therefore, the no of tiles required for covering the room is 5000 tiles.
