I am saying that ab because it is 2 letters but others are having single letters . So my answer is correct

a. Firstly, this could be in reference to the English alphabet. If you consider the alphabet, it contains all of a, b, o, and k. Whereas, AB does not come within the English alphabet. AB is in use when the alphabets are used to keep records instead of numerical digits. For example, AB converted into numbers means 27. You will find these in places where numbers are recorded in series, like in the vehicle registration numbers. Eq. AS  01 AB xxxx.

Hence, if you look at is as the alphabets, then AB is the odd one out.

b. However, you could also be looking at this as blood groups. Alphabets are used to denote, and differentiate between blood groups. Then, K would be the odd one out. A, B, O, and AB are valid blood groups. But there is no blood group called K.
