Given,

Number 1 = 2

Number 2 = √5

To Find,

One irrational and one rational number between given numbers =?

Solution,

Number 1 = 2

Number 2 = √5

We know that √5 is equal to 2.2360

Therefore, the range is 2 - 2.2360

We know that "any number that can be represented as the quotient p/q of two integers such that q ≠ 0 is called rational number"

A number between  2 and 2.2360 is 2.1 which is a rational number as it can be represented as 21 / 10.

We also know that "any real number that cannot be expressed as the quotient of two integers".

A number between  2 and 2.2360 is 2.1010101.... which is an irrational number as it can't be represented in the form of p/q. It is a non-terminating number so it is an irrational number.

Hence,  one irrational and one rational number between 2 and √5 are  2.101010011..... and 21/10.
