yes, it travel only few seconds and then , back to Earth because there is a gravitational force that apply by earth on an object.
Example : we see generally that rocket that goes to space and back with such a big fire in the rocket because rocket give force to enter earth , when it is near earth the speed of rocket increase due to GRAVITATIONAL FORCE in the earth.

Hii Friend Here is Your Answer,

》 Is it possible to throw any object in space?
Why?

First of all, it is impossible to throw any object to space mannually by hands. It can be possible by tge technologies used by Space researchers or Scientists.

We cannot throw ourself because after travelling few metres it will come back to the ground due to the attraction force exerted by the Gravity. But Scientists use powerful electrical or chemical processes to do this.
e.g. Rocket moves against gravity due to the force gases used by the rocket.

》If however an object is thrown in the space nearby the earth will it revolve around the earth?

This is a logical question we can easily explain it by applying some logic. If that object will move out of the atmosphere of earth but still it is nearer the Earth then the gravity of earth will attracted towards it due to this it act like as an satellite which is his revolving around the Earth due to the gravitational force exerted by the earth like other artificial satellite and Moon.

But if that object has no more force in it to move around the earth or its gravitational force is less than Earth then ultimately the earth will attract the object towards it and after a while object lose its motion around earth moves out of its orbit then fall in the surface of Earth.

》 What happen if the object is away from the gravitational force exert by earth or if any engine is Connected with it ?

If that object is far away from the gravitational force of Earth then get object will simply float in the space or it will affected by any other gravitational force exerted by any other celestial body.
But if a powerful engine is fitted with the body then the body will move in its path but after some days when the object will lost its energy then ultimately the object will float in the space or attracted by the gravitational force of Earth or any other celestial body.
