a. The britishers forced Indian farmers to grow indigo because indigo planting became more and more commercially profitable because of the demand for blue dye in Europe... The indigo planters persuaded the peasants to plant indigo instead of food crops.
b. Indian farmers were hesitate to grow Indigo on their land because britishers were forcing them to grow indigo for the export of indigo in many countries. They buy indigo at very low cost and sell them at very high cost. If the farmers will little careless then indigo will spoil the soil and make ot unfertile.
c. Indigo was a popular dye during the middle ages. Simon 1984 It has been used medicinally as an emetic; the Chinese used the plant to purify the liver, reduce inflammation and fever and to alleviate pain.
