As mosquito having 4 separate amd distinct stages. The following stages are given below:-

Egg - hatches when exposed to water.

Larva - (plural: larvae) "wriggler" lives in water; molts several times; most species surface to breathe air.

Pupa - (plural: pupae) "tumbler" does not feed; stage just before emerging as adult.

There are two specific species of Aedes that are important transmitters of viruses – Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. Aedes aegypti, also known as the yellow fever mosquito, is found in urban areas, is active both indoors and outdoors, and has a preference for humans as the source of its blood meal.

The malaria parasite is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes, which bite mainly between dusk and dawn. Malaria can also be transmitted by blood transfusion from an infected blood donor or by unsafe injection practices.
