find out p(x)=x²+2x-15​

p(x)=x²+2x-15

let first find the discriminant = b²- 4ac

D = (2)² - 4(1)(-15)

= 4 + 60

= 64

x = - b ± √D/ 2a

= - 2 ± √64 / 2

= -2 ± 8 /2

x = -2 + 8 /2

x = 6/2 = 3

case 2 )

x = -2-8/2

x = -10/2

x = -5

therefore , answer is x = 3
