The Earthquake causes is due to some reasons:-

1. Slide Past one another⇒ The Plates of earth's crusts are made up of huge rocks that are having rough edges. When two huge plates of the earth crust slide past one another, they start rubbing against each other ferociously and the rocks at their edges, the two crust plates stop moving for some. Thus the force between them gets higher and after some times we gets jolt.

2. Collide with one another⇒ When the two plates of the earth's crust start moving opposite to each other then they collide at the ends of these crusts plates buckle and fold forming new mountains and causing earthquakes.

Destruction Caused by Earthquakes:-

1. A major earthquake can damage both life and property on a large scale.

2. A lot of people get killed when they get buried under the debris of collapsed houses and other buildings during and earthquake.

3. It can bring floods, landslides and tsunamis.
