circumference=sum of all side

circumference=18+18+18+18=72

diagonal=√18^2+18^2=25.45cm

area of square=side×side

area=18×18=324cm^2

The circumference, diagonal, and area of the square are 72 cm, 25.46 cm,  324 \ cm^2 respectively.

Given,

A square has a side length of 18cm.

To Find,

The circumference, diagonal, and area of the square.

Solution,

The method of finding the circumference, diagonal, and area of the square is as follows -

Suppose that a square has a side length of x cm.

Then we know that the circumference of the square is 4x cm, the length of the diagonal is \sqrt{2}x cm, and the area of the square is x^2 cm^2.

So the circumference of the given square is 4*18=72 cm.

The length of the diagonal of the square is \sqrt{2}*18=18\sqrt{2}=25.46 cm (approximately).

The area of the square is 18^2=324 cm^2.

Hence, the circumference, diagonal, and area of a square are 72 cm, 25.46 cm, 324 \ cm^2 respectively.
