Given

x² + 8x + 15 = x² + 5x + 8x + 15 [Splitting the middle term]

= x(x+5) +3(x+5)

= (x+3)(x+5)

Again,

+ 3x −10 = −2x + 5x −10 −2x + 5x −10

= x(x−2)+5(x−2) −2x + 5x −10 = x(x−2)+5(x−2)

=(x+5) (x−2)

1)x^2+3x+5x+15

X(X+3)+5(X+3)

(X+3)(X+5)

2)x^2-2x+5x-10

X(x-2)+5(x-2)

(x-2)(X+5)

common factor in both the quadratic equations is

(X+5)...

hope it helps....
