1)   In an industrial system inputs are raw materials, labour, land costs, power etc. The processes refer to a wide range of activities which convert raw material into finished products. The outputs refer to the end product and profits

2)   Leather shoe manufacturing process consists of three sub – processes namely, preparatory stages, tanning and crusting stages.

3)  Preparatory stages involves stages like preservation, soaking, liming, unhairing, deliming, bating, degreasing, bleaching, pickling etc.

4)  Tanning process converts protein of raw hide into stable material. The operations included in crusting are wet back, sammying, splitting, retanning, fatliquoring, stuffing, stripping, drying, softening, buffing etc.

5)  The final result or the output stage includes brushing, roller coating, etc, and the finished material is moulded according to the final product, leather shoe by the leather manufacturing industry
