Solution : Here, we can use the following formula ;

                Concentration by mass (%) = Mass of solute/Mass of Solution,

 So, 30% = Mass of solute/500,

 Therefore, 30/100 * 500 = Mass of solute,

 Therefore,  Mass of solute = 150g,

  Since, Mass of solution = Mass of solvent + Mass of solute,

  Therefore, 500g - 150g =  Mass of solvent = 350g.
