(a) MnO₂ + 4HCl ----> MnCl₂ + 2H₂O + Cl₂
Oxidised substance = HCl
Reduced substance = MnO

 Oxidising agent = MnO₂
Reducing agent = HCl


(b) 2H₂S + SO₂--->3S +2 H₂O ( after balancing)
Oxidised substance = SO₂
Reduced substance= H₂S
Oxidising agent= H₂S
Reducing agent= SO₂

(c) 2CuO + C ---> 2Cu ( after balancing)
Oxidised substance = Cu
Reduced substance= O₂
Oxidising agent= O₂
Reducing agent= Cu
