sum of opposite angles is equal to 180°

(2x+4)+(4y-4)=180°. 2x+4y=180°. 2(x+2y)=180°

x+2y=90° {equation 1}

(x+10)+(5y+5)=180°. x+5y+15=180°. x+5y=175° {equation 2}

subtracting equation 1 form equation 2

x+5y=175°

- x+2y=90°

5y=85°

therefore, y=17°

putting value of y in equation 1, then

x+2(17)=90°. x=90-34

therefore, x=56°
