Cereal crops are grown for their edible grains or fruits. Cereals are primarily endosperms. Endosperms are mostly tissues that are produces inside seeds of some flowering plants. In this case of cereals, endosperms are persistence.

In normal cases, endosperms are found surrounded over the embryo and supplies nutrients for the growth of embryo in the form of starch.

Example:

As we known wheat is a cereal plant. Here the endosperm of the wheat is crushed and ground along with the seed to make it as flour.
