The concave lens f = +40cm focal point of the rays and concave lens -50cm focal point of the object.
1/f = 1/f1 + 1/f2 = 1/40 – 1/50 = 1/200.
f = 200 cm
p1 = 1/(40/100)m = 2.5 Dioptre
p2 = 1/(-50/100)m = -2D.
The power of combination = p1 + p2 = 2.5 – 2.0 = 0.5D.
1/f = 1/f1 + 1/f2 = 1/40 – 1/50 = 1/200.
f = 200 cm
p1 = 1/(40/100)m = 2.5 Dioptre
p2 = 1/(-50/100)m = -2D.
The power of combination = p1 + p2 = 2.5 – 2.0 = 0.5D.
