Step by step explanation:-

Answer :-

11,25,000 N/m²

Given :-

  • Force acting on the body is 450N
  • Area is 2 cm × 2 cm

To find :-

  • Pressure

SOLUTION :-

As we know that pressure is defined as force per unit area

According to definition,

Pressure = Force /Area

Units of pressure is N/m²

So, The area is in cm² we shall convert m²

1 m = 100 cm

1cm = 1/100 m

2cm × 2cm = 2/100 m ×2/100 m

= 1/50m × 1/50m

= 1/2500 m²

So, area is 1/2500 m²

Substituting the values,

Pressure = Force /Area

= 450 / 1/2500

= 450 × 2500 /1

= 11,25,000 N/m²

So, pressure acting on the body is 11,25,000 N/m²

Pressure other unit :- Pascal

As per the pressure formula

Pressure = Force /Area

●Pressure is directly proportional to Force

●Pressure is indirectly proportional to Area

● We can increase the pressure by decreasing the area

● We can increase / decrease the pressure by increasing/decreasing the force

Answer:-

  • Force=450N
  • Area=4cm^2

convert it to m^2

\\ \sf\hookrightarrow 1cm^2=0.0001m^2

\\ \sf\hookrightarrow 4cm^2=0.0004m^2

We know that

\boxed{\sf Pressure=\dfrac{Force}{Area}}

\\ \sf\hookrightarrow Pressure=\dfrac{450}{0.0004}

\\ \sf\hookrightarrow Pressure=1125000N/m^2

\\ \sf\hookrightarrow Pressure=1125000Pa
