Answer :

We have to find = Principal and Amount

Rate = 40%

Time = 3 years

S.I = ₹120

Answer is - Principal = ₹1000

Amount = ₹1120

Explanation :

SI = P×R×T/100 = 120

P×4×3/100 = 120 (FROM 4, WE DEVIDE 100 AND IN DENOMINATOR NOW IT IS 25)

3P/25 = 120

3P = 120×25 = 3000 (TRANSPOSING 25 TO OTHER SIDE AND MULPLY)

P= 3000/3 (TRANSPOSING 3 TO OTHER SIDE AND DIVIDE 3000 BY 3)

P = 1000

Therefore, Principal is ₹1000

Amount = P + Simple Interest

= 1000+120 = ₹ 1120
