(1+3√2)(1-3√2)
=1(1-3√2)+3√2(1-3√2)
=1-3√2+3√2-(3√2)²
=1-9(2)
=1-18
=-17
=-17/1
It is written in the form of p/q
So,it is rational number.

Hope it helps

Multiplying (1+3✓2) and (1-3√2)

(1+3√2)(1-3✓2)
= 1²- (3✓2)².........( using identity (a+b)(a-b)= a²-b²)
= 1 - 18
= -17
or, -17= -17/1

A rational no. is a number that can be represented as P/Q , where P and Q are integers and Q ≠ 0.

So as -17 can be represented as -17/1 . It is a rational number.
