QR = 24 cm.

  • In a plane which is two-dimensional, the area of a triangle can be referred to the area that it encloses in itself. A triangle is a closed geometrical figure with three sides and three vertices. The entire area that is occupied by a triangle's three sides is referred to as its area. Half of the product of the triangle's base and height is the formula that is used to calculate the area of a triangle.
  • We can say that, an area is the area that has been included within the perimeter of a flat object or figure. The conventional unit of measurement is square metres while the general measurements are taken in the form of square units.

Here, according to the given information, we are given that,

Th area of the triangle PQR is 180 cm².

Now, the height of the triangle is PS = 15 cm.

Then, we know that, the area of the triangle is \frac{1}{2} .base.height.

Then, we get,

180 = \frac{1}{2} .15.base

Here, base = \frac{2.180}{15} =24 cm.

Hence, the base QR = 24 cm.
