[tex]-\frac{7}{2}=-\frac{14}{4}\\\\-2=-\frac{8}{4}\\\\-\frac{14}{4} < x < -\frac{8}{4}\\\\x=-\frac{13}{4}\ or\ x=-\frac{12}{4}=-3\ or\ x=-\frac{11}{4}\ or\ x=-\frac{10}{4}=-\frac{5}{2}\ or\ x=-\frac{9}{4}\\\\\vdots\\\\-\frac{7}{2}=-\frac{21}{6}\\\\-2=-\frac{12}{6}\\\\-\frac{21}{6} < x < -\frac{12}{6}\\\\x=-\frac{13}{6}\ or\ x=-\frac{14}{6}\ \dots\\\\ These\ numbers\ are\ infinitely\ many.[/tex]

numbers are - 2  and - 7 /2
have a common denominator
so -2 = - 2 * 2 / 2  = - 4 / 2
numbers are  - 4 / 2 and -7 / 2
you have - 5 / 2,  -6/2  and many more between them.
-6/2 is an integer as it is -3.  So choose - 5 / 2

The rational numbers are-
{-2+[-7/2]}/2=3
[-2+3]/2=1/2
etc
