S O L U T I O N :

\underline{\bf{Given\::}}

  • Principal, (P) = Rs.8000
  • Time, (T) = 2 years
  • Rate, (R) = 5% p.a.

\underline{\bf{Explanation\::}}

As we know that formula of the Simple Interest;

\boxed{\bf{S.I. = \frac{P \times R \times T}{100}}}

A/q

\mapsto\tt{Simple\:Interest = \dfrac{8000 \times 5 \times 2}{100} }

\mapsto\tt{Simple\:Interest = \dfrac{80\cancel{00} \times 5 \times 2}{\cancel{100}} }

\mapsto\tt{Simple\:Interest = Rs.(80 \times 5 \times 2)}

\mapsto\tt{Simple\:Interest = Rs.(80 \times 10)}

\mapsto\bf{Simple\:Interest = Rs.800}

Now,

⇒ Amount = Principal + S.I.

⇒ Amount = Rs.8000 + Rs.800

⇒ Amount = Rs.8800

Thus,

The S.I. & amount of the Interest will be Rs.800 & 8800 .
