x - y = 2

x = 2 + y ------------ ( 1 )

Let y = 1 in eq ( 1 )

x = 2 + 1

x = 3

Let y = 2 in eq ( 1 )

x = 2 + 2

x = 4

Let y = 3 in eq ( 1 )

x = 2 + 3

x = 5

Let y = 4 in eq ( 1 )

x = 2 + 4

x = 6

Let y = 5 in eq ( 1 )

x = 2 + 5

x = 7

Let y = 6 in eq ( 1 )

x = 2 + 6

x = 8

Question: Find six solutions for the following linear equations in two variables x-y = 2.

\huge\star{\green{\underline{\mathrm{Answer: -}}}}

\Longrightarrowx - y = 2

Let y = 3

x - 3 = 2

x = 2 + 3

x = 5 .

(5,3)

\Longrightarrow Let y = 4.

x - 4 = 2

x = 2 + 4

x = 6 .

(6, 4)

\LongrightarrowLet y = 5

x - 5 = 2

x = 2 + 5

x = 7 .

( 7, 5)

\LongrightarrowLet y = 6

x - 6 = 2

x = 2 + 6

x = 8

( 8, 6)

\Longrightarrow Let y = 7

x - 7 = 2

x = 2 + 7

x = 9

( 9, 7)

\Longrightarrow Let y = 8

x - 8 = 2

x = 2 + 8

x = 10

(10,8)

The six solutions of this equation is:

( 5, 3) , ( 6, 4) , ( 7, 5) , ( 8, 6 ) , ( 9, 7 ) ,

( 10 , 8 )
