1. How much oxygen will add with 36 g carbon to give 132 gram of carbon dioxide assuming complete combustion?
2. 4 gram of hydrogen reacts with some of the oxygen to make 36 g of water. Figure out how much oxygen must used by law of conservation of mass.
3. In a chemical reaction 150 gram of baking soda mixture contains sodium carbonate and vinegar. On heating gives gives 87 gram of carbon dioxide. What mass of solid residue will left in the food?

Explanation:

(1) c +o2 ------→ co2

acc.to reaction

32g o2 needed to give 44 g co2

so,132x32/44 = 96 g o2 will be needed for132 g

(2) 2H2 + o2 → 2H2O

acc. to reaction 32g o2 react with H2 to give 36 g of h2o

for 36 g h2o o2 required = 32x36/36 = 32

remaining all question can be done in same manner first write actual reaction and compare with given data
