Now, putting these values in the formula,

we get;

=> S(n) = (n/2)•{2a + (n-1)d}

=> S(16) = (16/2)•{ 2•10 + (16 - 1)(- 4) }

=> S(16) = 8•{ 20 + 15(- 4) }

=> S(16) = 8•{ 20 - 60 }

=> S(16) = 8•(- 40)

=> S(16) = -320
