Solution :-

According to distance formula we know that, distance between A(a, b) and B(c, d) is equal to :-

  • √[(a - c)² + (b - d)²]

comparing given two points coordinates with A(a, b) and B(c, d) we get,

  • a = 6
  • b = (-7)
  • c = 1
  • d = 5

then,

→ AB = √[(a - b)² + (c - d)²]

→ AB = √[(6 - 1)² + (-7 - 5)²]

→ AB = √(5² + 12²)

→ AB = √(25 + 144)

→ AB = √(169)

→ AB = 13 units (Ans.)

Hence, tbe distance between two points(6,-7) B(1,5) is 13 units .
