Formula of perimeter of rectangle=2*(L+B)

Perimeter of rectangle=280 m

Breadth=55 m

So, 2*(L+55)=280

L+55=280÷2

L+55=140

L=140-55

L=85

Thus, length=85 m

Formula of area=L*B

L=85 & B=55

85*55=4675

Thus area=4675 m square

Given,
 \bf Breadth \: of \: the \: \\ \bf \: rectangular \: field = 55 m \\ \bf \:<br />Perimeter = 280 m \\ \bf \:<br />Length = (to \: be \:  calculated)

We know that,

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

Putting the values,

280 = 2(l + 55)

280 = 2l + 110

2l = 280 - 110

2l = 170

l = 85 m

Now, Length = 85 m. (calculated above)

Area = l × b

Area = 85 × 55

 \bf \: Area = 4675 \: {m}^{2}

If any doubt, please ask ;)
