Given that : a1 = 15 , n = 20
12–15 = –3
9–12 = –3
6–9 = –3
Hence , d = –3
As we know that : An = a1 +(n–1)d
=> A(20) = 15 + (20–1)(–3)
=> A(20) = 15 + 19(–3)
=> A(20) = 15–57
=> A(20) = -42
Thus, the 20th term of the A.P. series
