Solution :
Given A.P:
a+b, a-b, a-3b, ....,
First term = a + b ,
Common difference ( d ) = a2 - a1
= a - b - ( a + b )
= a - b - a - b
= -2b
Here , n = 22
22nd term = first term+(n-1)d
= a+b + ( 22 - 1 )(-2b)
= a + b +21(-2b)
= a + b - 42b
= a - 41b
Therefore,
22nd term in given A.P = a - 41b
