total resistance =1•5
and current through circuit is
V/R=6/1•5 =4 ampere

ye72: how
Aksharpraveen: the two resistances are in parallel so net resistance in parallel will be 1/R= 1/2+1/2 so R= 1. and a resistance of 0.5ohm is in series therefore total resistance will be 1+ 0.5= 1.5 and emf = 6 volt. and current is given by. EMF/total current = 6/1.5 = 4 ampere

Total resistance-

 \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{1}{2}   + 0.5=  \frac{2}{2}  + 0.5  \\  = 1 + 0.5 \\  = 1.5

Total current-

I=V/R

I=6/1.5

I=4A
