Answer:

4ms-2

Explanation:

Force applied is 20N

Normal reaction by wall is equal to force applied 20N

friction force (static) = normal reaction X coff. of static friction

= 0.8X20

=16N (upward)

friction force kinetic = normal reaction X coff. of kinetic friction

=0.6X20

=12N (upward)

Motion of block is in downward direction due to gravitational force

acceleration of block is = 2

=20−12=4ms-2

Answer:

horizontal component of angle = 37°

mass = 5kg

F = 20N

F' = 100N

a) normal force = mg

= 5*9.8

= 49N

force = mass x acceleration x cos(37°)

20 = 5 * a * 4/5

a = 5 m/s²

b) normal force = mg

= 5*9.8

= 49N

force = mass x acceleration x cos(37°)

100 = 5 * a * 4/5

a = 25 m/s²
