(1) - 26 , (2) 55 .

We know that Sum of Number and additive inverse = 0 .

Let the additive inverse of -26 be x, Let the additive inverse of 55 be y.

Now ,

-26 + x = 0

x = 26 [ By transposition ]

55 + y = 0

y = -55 [ By transposition ]

Therefore, The additive inverse of -26 , 55 are 26 , -55 respectively
