Find the angle in radians between the hands of a clock at 3:30 A.M.

Given : Time in  clock  3:30 A.M

To find : angle in radians between the hands of a clock

Solution:

Minute Hands  360° in 60 minutes

Hence 6° in Minutes

=> Minute hand moved  180° in 30 minutes

Hour Hand moves   360°  in 12 hrs

=> 30° in 1 hr

=>  0.5° in 1 Mins

=> 0.5 * 30  =  15°  

at 3 Hour hand was already at   90°

90° + 15° = 105°

Hour hand at 105°

Minute Hand at 180°

Angle between the hands of a clock at 3:30  =  180 -105  = 75°

180°  = π

1°  = π/180

75° = 75π/180

= 5π/12

5π/12  is the angle in radians between the hands of a clock at 3:30 A.M
