let first angle be as x
let second angle be as x+20
according to question,
x+(x=20)=90
2x +20=90
2x = 70
x = 35

2nd angle=x+20
=35+20
=55 degree

Answer:

The angle which exceeds its complement by 20° is 55°

Step-by-step explanation:

Let teh angle be x

Complementary angles : A pair of angle whose sum is 90° is called complementary angles.

So, Complement of x = 90-x

Now we are given that the angle exceeds its complement by 20°

So, x-(90-x)=20

x-90+x=20

2x-90=20

2x=110

x=55

Hence the angle which exceeds its complement by 20° is 55°
