Given:

The mass of the satellite m=400 Kg

The radius of earth R=4×10⁷

To find:

The angular momentum of the satellite

Solution:

The formula of velocity is

v=\sqrt{} \frac{GM}{R}

The formula of angular momentum is

L= MvR

Using these two formula we get

L=\sqrt{GMmR}

Putting the above values

L=\sqrt{400. 4.4.10^{7} }

L=5×10¹² Kgm²/sec

So the angular momentum is 5×10¹² Kgm²/sec
