Angular Velocity = Angle ( in radians ) / Time

Angle for one hour distance covered by minute hand = 2π radians.

Minutes = 60 minutes = 3600 seconds

=> Angular velocity = 2π radians / 3600 seconds

=> Angular Velocity = π / 1800 Radians / second

=> Angular velocity = 180° / 1800 = 0.1 ° per second.

We know, ω = θ/∆t.

Time taken = 60 mins = 3600 s

θ = 360° = 2π rad

∴ ω = (2π)/(3600) rad/s

⇒ ω = π/1800 rad/s

Or, ω = (180°)/(1800) s^-1 = 0.1°/s

N.B.:

You can use either rad/s or degree/s as per your choice. But it is better to write in rad/s.
