1) Area of square = = 25600

a = 25600 = 160m

2) By Pythagoras theorem,

XZ = (XY²+YZ²)

= (100+900) = 1000

= 1010cm

3) Let the side of the square be a then,

Area of rectangle = lb = 48×12 = 576m²

Area of square =

By the given conditions,

lb = - 100

= 576 + 100 = 676

a = 676 = 26m

Hence,

perimeter of square = 4a = 4×26 = 104m
