Find the appro percentage increase in area of cirlce if radious increased by 2%

Area of circle =  \pi  r^{2}
After increasing the radius by 2%
New radius =  \frac{51r}{50}

Percentage increase in area = [tex] \frac{New area-Old area}{ \pi r^{2} }*100% [/tex]
=>  \pi ( (\frac{51r}{50}) - \pi  r^{2}) /  \pi  r^{2} *100%
=> Take  \pi  r^{2} common
=> ( \pi  r^{2}( \frac{51}{50}-1))  / \pi  r^{2} *100%
=>  \pi  r^{2}\ gone\ by \ \pi  r^{2}
=>  \frac{1}{50}*100%
=> 2%
