Given :

The sides of a parallelogram,

Base, a = 12 \ cm

Height, b = 17 \ cm

To Find :

The Area of parallelogram = ?

The perimeter of parallelogram = ?

Solution :

As we know,

The Area of parallelogram = base × height

On putting the given values in the above formula, we get

Area = 12\times 7

        = 84 \ cm^2

and,

The Perimeter of parallelogram = 2(a+b)

On putting the given values in the above formula, we get

Perimeter = 2(12+7)

                = 2\times 19

                = 38 \ cm

So,

The Area of parallelogram = 84 \ cm^2

The Perimeter of parallelogram = 32 \ cm
